The Agate – Hand‑Carved Natural Bath Stone Fireplace Surround

The Agate is a beautifully crafted surround carved from solid boulders of English natural Bath stone. Its stepped detailing and layered structure create a simple yet imposing design. As a natural material formed over 145 million years, Bath stone contains shells, veins and fossils, giving every Agate surround its own unique character.

Component Dimensions

• Stone lintel: 1160mm × 180mm (H) × 100mm (D)

• Mantlepiece: 1260mm × 65mm (H) × 150mm (D)

• Lower mantle (with built‑in top slip): 1260mm × 50mm (H) × 150mm (D)

• Uprights / legs (with built‑in side slips): 650mm bedded × 180mm (W) × 100mm (D)

• Base blocks: 200mm (W) × 150mm (H) × 110mm (D)

Finished Opening Size

• 800mm wide × 800mm high (measured from the top of Bath stone bedded hearths)

Optional Hearths

Bath stone hearths are available if required:

• Front 3‑piece hearth (plain or chamfered): 1260mm total × 400mm × 50mm — £300

• Inner floor back hearth: 820mm × 400mm × 50mm — £140 when purchased with the surround
