Hand carved solid natural Bath stone fireplace 'The Onyx'

This beautiful fireplace called The Onyx will be hand carved in a traditional style and would suit traditional or modern homes.

Carved from solid blocks of natural Bath stone.

The aperture of a standard size Onyx fireplace is 850mm high from the top of the bedded stone hearths to underside of the lintel. The height of the hearths are 50mm plus 10mm recommended mortar bed and the width of the opening is 800mm.

The overall height is 1200mm bedded from the floor to the top of the mantlepiece.

The Onyx stone fireplace is in sections as follows:

1 mantlepiece 1370mm x 150mm x 65mm

1 lintel 1250mm x 225m x 110mm

2 uprights/legs 750mm x 225mm x 110mm

2 base square PLAIN base blocks 245mm x 100mm x 120mm which sit under the uprights.

3 outer hearths pieces - totalling 1350mm x 400mm x 50mm (plus 10mm recommended mortar bed)

A inner floor back hearth can be purchased a 820mm x 400mm x 50mm would be an extra £140.00 to quoted costs if purchased and delivered together with this surround.

Every fireplace surround would be unique as the stone is locally sourced and as a natural material will contain some fossiling from the sea bed minerals and creatures and veining dating back to 145 million years ago.

As with all our natural stone surrounds, stone mix mortar will be supplied for all joints, fixing brackets and full installation instructions will be included.
