Mortar & Bedding Requirements
We supply matching pointing mortar, made from Bath stone dust and natural lime. For bedding your hearth:
Use building sand and cement when laying onto a concrete floor
Use flexible floor tile adhesive when laying onto a wooden floor (to allow for movement)
A solid, continuous 10mm bed is recommended — not spot‑bedded — ensuring no hollow areas beneath the stone.

Nationwide delivery is no longer available for hearths
If you are outside the 30‑mile radius, you are welcome to collect from our workshop:
Monday–Friday, 10am–2:30pm (pre‑arranged time) We will load your vehicle for you — please ensure two people are present to lift the stone.
