Mortar & Bedding Requirements
We supply matching pointing mortar, made from Bath stone dust and natural lime. For bedding your hearth:
Use building sand and cement when laying onto a concrete floor
Use flexible floor tile adhesive when laying onto a wooden floor (to allow for movement)
A solid, continuous 10mm bed is recommended — not spot‑bedded — ensuring no hollow areas beneath the stone.
Optional Extras
Natural stone sealer (500ml) — £30.00 Helps protect and maintain the appearance of your hearth.
Delivery & Collection
Free personal delivery within 25 miles of Nailsworth.
4‑week lead time from order/funds
If you are outside the 25‑mile radius, you are welcome to collect from our workshop:
Monday–Friday, 10am–2:30pm (pre‑arranged time) We will load your vehicle for you.
OR these can be delivered via national haulage on a roadside signed for delivery Monday to Friday 8am-6pm no timed deliveries for an additional £100.00 to advertised cost. A seperate invoice will be issued if palletised delivery is required.
