Plain Bath Stone Outer Hearth – Three‑Piece Design
This three‑piece plain outer hearth features straight, clean edges and can also be supplied in two sections at the standard size if preferred. However, we find the three equal sections offer a more balanced and visually pleasing finish.
We supply stone‑mix mortar for the joints, made from Bath stone dust combined with natural lime. To bed your hearths, you will need to purchase cement or natural lime and building sand from your local builders’ merchant or DIY store. Your hearth must be laid on a solid bed, not spot‑bedded—there should be no hollow spaces beneath.
